ActionAid reacts to UN Security Council resolution on Gaza and calls for a ceasefire

ActionAid said: “Yesterday saw the UN Security Council come together to finally support an end to the nine-month nightmare ongoing in Gaza, but such action comes far too late for the thousands of people who have senselessly lost their lives since this war began. We now urge all parties to seize this moment and agree to a ceasefire without delay. The appalling bloodshed and slaughter cannot continue. The starving people of Gaza and the remaining hostages desperately need a permanent ceasefire now, so that no more lives are lost and so that the catastrophic humanitarian crisis can be addressed.”
