Based upon interviews with earthquake survivors living in camps, community and NGO representatives, institutional officials, ActionAid policy and programme staff and desk research, this report examines the multiple obstacles blocking effective rebuilding in Haiti one year on from the devastating January 2010 earthquake.
The report goes on to outline the actions the Haitian government and the international community must take to ensure communities are able to rebuild their lives and to ensure that the gross inequalities that were present before the earthquake are not further entrenched during this process.
