Stop Violence Against Girls in School
A cross-country analysis of change in Ghana, Kenya and Mozambique
A lack of knowledge about violence against girls has hindered efforts to stop it. ActionAid’s 2013 Stop Violence Against Girls in School report is one of the first comprehensive studies to provide more evidence to bridge the knowledge gap and inform interventions.
More than 2,700 people took part in the study in Ghana, Kenya and Mozambique. The research was financed by the UK’s Big Lottery Fund with the aim of empowering girls and enabling them to enjoy their rights to participate in education and a violence-free environment.
